Trump And Nazi Billboard Got Something In Common
By Dr. Sinclair N. Grey III
Is President Donald Trump a racist? Do you believe that he and his inner circle of associates have a hidden agenda for the United States of America? Does the slogan ‘Make America Great Again’ really mean ‘Make America White Again?’ These are some of the questions any rational person will raise when mentioning Trump and his administration.
Anyone who spends time analyzing some of Trump’s policies has to come up with some conclusion that Trump seems to favor those who are rich and white. His opinion about immigrants leads one to conclude that he’s xenophobic in every sense of the word. However, if you listen to Trump, he will have the world to believe that he is the least racist and least anti-sematic person you’ll ever meet. This is just a tip of the iceberg in what Trump claims to be. Remember, actions speak louder than words.
In Phoenix, Arizona, there is a disturbing billboard of Trump that depicts him as Hitler surrounded by dollar sign swastikas. As you can imagine, this isn’t sitting well with Trump supporters.
The name of the artist who designed this billboard is Karen Florito.
If you look closely at the front of the billboard, you will notice some nuclear explosives surrounded by hate symbols. Here’s what’s interesting. On the other side of the billboard are images of hands signing ‘unity’ in sign language.
According to an article in Daily Mail, “Florito wrote on Facebook: ‘Still awaiting the backlash, death threats and the like. Wish I had time to drive to Phoenix to see the reactions of the people on the street.”
In addition to that, Florito said, “It’s astounding that so many are offended by a SYMBOL of something but not offended by a minimum of 3 avowed white supremacists right next to #45, banning people for their religions, alleged ties with dictators, homophobic policy changes, Jewish cemetery defacement and white Muslim attacks.”
So what do you think? Is this a form of free expression that’s protected under the First Amendment?
