A legendary artist in a legendary group has passed away at far too early of an age.  It has been confirmed that Lord Infamous from the Grammy Winning group Three 6 Mafia has died.  The rapper passed away on December 20th at his mother’s house in Memphis.  The death has been confirmed by Three 6 Mafia publicist, Dove Clark.

“He did pass away at his mothers house last night in Memphis,” Clark said during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “The cause of death is unknown. We’re actually trying to figure out how he died and that is all the information we currently have.”

Another member of the group, Gangsta Boo, tweeted about the death, stating that it was a “tragedy.”

“Rest in Peace Lord Infamous,” she said. “Please respect the family and dear friends during this tragedy.”

Lord Infamous’ real name is Ricky Dunigan.  The cause of death is unknown, but he was respected as one of the key members of the group that crossed a multitude of musical boundaries.

“He gave us the name #Triple6Mafia he was a pioneer, he was a god, he was my friend. RIP Ricky ‘Lord Infamous’ Dunnigan,” tweeted Lil Wyte.

Three 6 Mafia started out in the mid-1990s under DJ Paul and Juicy J.  While it is not yet known how Infamous died, he did suffer a heart attack and stroke back in 2010.

Who is the writer of this article. The admin, whoever he or she is, wrote this article elementary style. He/she mentioned three times that the death is unknown. Talk about redundancy. It definitely was a quick & dirty writing piece.

On another note, my prayers goes out to the family of Ricky Dunigan. May he rest in peace.
