Statins can be stopped toward the end of life

Researchers from Duke University School of Medicine recruited 381 people who were not expected to live for more than a year. About half the participants were randomly assigned to stop taking statins. According to researchers, the group that stopped taking the drugs did have a small improvement in their quality of life scores, compared to those who continued to take the medications. Via Reuters.
