A brute with a short fuse cold-cocked a 69-year-old grandmother outside a Queens deli, knocking her unconscious, officials said Tuesday.
Police are now looking for the goon, who they have identified as 28-year-old Richard (Kwasi) Springer.
Springer was inside the Sutphin King Deli on Sutphin Blvd. near 108th Ave. in Jamaica at about 8:10 a.m. Saturday when he got into an argument with a store employee, officials said.
The victim, identified by WABC news as Eve Gentillon, saw the argument and yelled at Springer to stop fighting, according to officials.
Springer stormed out of the store and punched Gentillon, laying her out cold on the sidewalk.
The woman was rushed to Jamaica Hospital with a serious injury, cops said.
Police quickly identified the brawler as Springer, who lives about three blocks away from the deli.
He is described as black, about 5-foot-11, 175 pounds with brown eyes and black hair in corn rows, cops said. He has a tattoo of the word “Emily” on his right arm and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots.
Authorities urged anyone with information about Springer’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
