There has been a resurgence in white supremacist activity since the election of President Obama, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
In 2012, a federal jury indicted a Virginia white supremacist on charges that he threatened three officials involved in a Florida case against the white terror group American Front.
William A. White, 36, was accused of making threats against former State Attorney Lawson Lamar, Circuit Judge Walter G. Komanski and an FBI agent.
That same year, a white supremacist gang was accused of putting a ‘hit’ out on a judge. The 211 white supremacist gang put out a hit on Judge Jonathan Walker after he signed search warrants relating to the investigation of the murder of Department of Corrections chief Tom Clements. After the threat on Walker’s life was uncovered, the judge bought a gun and was given police protection. Walker also went into hiding and is reportedly wearing body armor.
According to the SPLC, the number of anti-government groups has risen 800 percent since President Obama was first elected president.
