Remember Qaw’mane Wilson? He is the 24-year old rapper/dancer/filmmaker in Chicago who is accused of killing his mother for the insurance money. Qaw’mane wasn’t an ordinary Joe in the hood. He has thousands of followers from a very popular online web series called “The Nick Story,” starring himself. The videos have gotten over 100,000 views, even before he was accused of ending his mother’s life.
As the police were closing in on him for the death of his mother, Yolanda Holmes, he was trying his best to play the role of innocent victim. A video that recently surfaced is one of him speaking at the funeral of Hadiya Pendleton, a young lady who was killed on the south side of Chicago, not far from the home of President Barack Obama.
Qaw’mane shows a touch of sadness when discussing Hadiya’s death and also reflects on the passing of his own mother, who saw her life come to an end just a short time before. But police are saying that Qaw’mane was the mastermind behind his mother’s death and actually paid someone to do the job.
Wilson became a prime suspect in his mother’s death when he took pictures on Facebook holding stacks of cash which allegedly came out of his mother’s bank account. He also has a video on Youtube showing him going into his mother’s bank, taking out thousands of dollars and throwing it into a crowd of people.
Here’s the video:
